Welcome To The End Game

Congratulations!  You've made it this far, survived your opponent's attacks and, hopefully, are now strategically positioned to bring on the victory. There has always been debate about which is the most important part of the chess game, the Opening or the End Game.  Either way, this is where all your planning and efforts bear fruit.  It's win or lose time.  Looking across the field of conflict, you evaluate your position versus the opponent's defenses.  You size up his options and check for traps or pitfalls. You check your plan for the coup-de-gras until you know what to do next. Don't get cockey! Your opponent is probably looking at a way in himself.

In this section we will consider some of the most common and useful strategies used to achieve the Checkmate.

End Game - King and Pawn

Checkmate With Two Bishops

Checkmate With Bishop and Knight - Part 1

Checkmate With Bishop and Knight - Part 2

Endgame - Rook vs Knight

Endgame - King And Rook

Endgame - King And Queen

Endgame Strategy And Tactics - 1  Minor Pieces
